The Triple Prayer

(The publication date of this text – as announcedis August 6, 2026)

Based on many years of experience on the path of faith, the so-called "Triple Prayer" was born in my heart. I have experienced the exceptional fruitfulness of this prayer in my life and the resolution of many problems, for which I thanked God. This resolution was often so quick and clear, something I had not experienced with any other prayer.

INSTRUCTION

Here is what this prayer consists of. As the name suggests, it consists of three parts. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the emphasis is not placed on the exact prayer formula being recited, but on the intentions. It is therefore a prayer of the heart. In each of these three parts, the intention is stated at the beginning, and then a prayer is added.

Part One: "I praise You, God, in the mercy You have shown me since the previous Triple Prayer, and I thank You for this mercy." (If the Triple Prayer is being said for the first time, one praises God for the mercy He has shown so far). This is followed by any prayer formula close to the heart of the person praying, but preferably no longer than a decade of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and a "Hail Mary." It can be, for example, the "Our Father," "Under Your Protection," "Glory Be," or another. As St. Padre Pio teaches: "Every prayer is good if it is accompanied by the right intention and good will."

Part Two: "I praise You, God, in the difficulties I am experiencing [briefly describe them here], and I thank You for these difficulties." If the difficulties are not mine but someone else's, thanking for them might be tactless, so we say: "I praise You in my difficulties, that I sympathize with this person who has these difficulties [briefly describe them here], and I thank You for these difficulties of mine." This is followed by any prayer formula (as above)...

Part Three: "These difficulties that I have described, I offer to You, Lord Jesus, for the intention of the conversion of sinners, and I ask You for their conversion. I unite this small offering with Your one sacrifice for the salvation of the world." This is followed by any prayer formula (as above)...

The short version of the Triple Prayer is as follows (with each of the given aspirations, the intention in the heart must be added, as above):

Glory to You, Lord Jesus!

Glory to You, Lord Jesus!

Amen, Lord Jesus!

It is important that in the third part, no other intention is stated than the request for the conversion of sinners. The Triple Prayer does not assume any other intention here, even though there are many other important matters in life and in the world. There are other prayers for them, and the matter of the conversion of sinners is, I believe, one of the most important matters in the world, if not the most important...

In many people, an objection may arise in their hearts: "Why should I give thanks for what is bad?" Well, the Apostle teaches: "In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thess 5:18) - "in all circumstances," and not only for what is pleasant. Difficult experiences can always bring benefit if we accept them with love, precisely for the intention of mercy for those in need. Then it is a cross united with the Cross of Jesus Christ, the carrying of which by us is very beneficial for our neighbors, as well as for ourselves. In this way, we show love, which is all the greater because it costs; through this, we also store up treasures for ourselves in heaven. Does this not make sense?

ADVANTAGES

Below I present 14 advantages of the Triple Prayer:

1. In the Holy Scripture, there are these words: "You do not possess because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions" (cf. Jas 4:2-3). Thanks to the Triple Prayer, this problem is avoided - there is no request regarding a desire or problem experienced by the one praying; there is only praise and thanksgiving for the difficulties one is experiencing.

2. It is a Job-like prayer, as in the second part, God is praised in the difficulties one experiences. It is similar to the words of the biblical Job: "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord!" (Job 1:21). Let us note what was the consequence of Job saying this prayer during his difficulties. What he had previously lost was restored to him, and then some. One should not expect that it will always be like this when saying the Triple Prayer, but it can happen.

3. This prayer is a concrete and exceptional work of mercy - we offer our sufferings for the intention of the conversion of sinners and ask for their conversion. The Lord Jesus told St. Faustina that if a soul does not exercise mercy in some way, it will not attain salvation (cf. Diary 1317). And one of the spiritual works of mercy is to "pray for the living and the dead," as the Holy Church teaches. The Triple Prayer fulfills this.

4. This prayer differs from many others in that the main emphasis is not placed on a specific prayer formula that is recited, but on the intentions of the heart. It is therefore a prayer with the heart.

5. It contains within itself a prayer for the conversion of sinners, and the Lord Jesus told St. Faustina: "The prayer most pleasing to Me is prayer for the conversion of sinners. Know, My daughter, that this prayer is always heard and answered" (Diary 1397).

6. In each part, it is enough to say a decade of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and a "Hail Mary" or a shorter prayer. It is not advisable to say the Divine Mercy Chaplet three times or another longer prayer. So it is not a very heavy prayer.

7. Most of the three parts of the Triple Prayer (two) are prayers of praise and thanksgiving. It is therefore mainly a prayer of praise, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that this is the most important form of prayer.

8. I once heard advice that we should thank God more than ask Him. The Triple Prayer fulfills this, because most of its three parts (two) are prayers of praise and thanksgiving.

9. St. Therese of the Child Jesus said that nothing attracts grace like gratitude. Most of the three parts of the Triple Prayer (two) are prayers of praise and thanksgiving.

10. The Triple Prayer is directed towards abundant fruitfulness. The only request contained in it concerns the conversion of sinners, and that is, I think, one of the most important matters in the world, if not the most important.

11. Praising God in the difficulties mentioned in this prayer often results in their powerful resolution by God.

12. Through the Triple Prayer, one achieves an abundant, measurable fruit of one's sufferings by offering them for the intention of the conversion of sinners.

13. The Triple Prayer contains thanksgiving for graces, just as the Gospel fragment about the healing of the ten lepers teaches (cf. Luke 17:11-19).

14. The Holy Scripture teaches to thank God for everything - "In all circumstances give thanks" (1 Thess 5:18), and therefore for what is good, as well as for what is difficult. In the Triple Prayer, this is fulfilled.

TESTIMONY

As for the testimony of what fruits God has brought about in my life and my brother's life through the Triple Prayer, I provide three out of several hundred similar examples:

When I first included the Triple Prayer in my evening personal prayer with the Word of God, I said to the Lord Jesus in this prayer: "Lord Jesus, I praise You in all the misery and wretchedness of Russia's military actions against Ukraine." The next day, I learned from the news that a 61 billion dollar defense package for Ukraine was being prepared. A few days later, this package was approved.

Another time, when I heard a notification on my phone that an email had arrived for my brother regarding the result of a difficult and important exam for him, I said the Triple Prayer. It turned out that my brother scored exactly 60% of the points, and to pass this exam, a minimum of exactly 60% was required. I rejoiced greatly, and so did my brother.

During the Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina in 2026, my brother and I prayed the Triple Prayer only before three Olympic events - ski jumping competitions: on the normal hill, on the large hill, and before the "Duos" competition. All these three competitions ended with a medal for Poland. Before the "Mixed" competition (also in ski jumping), we exceptionally did not pray the Triple Prayer, and Poland did not win a medal in it.

I have had many situations similar to these three described above.

The people who particularly contributed to the creation of the Triple Prayer are the organizers of the "Jesus at the Stadium" (Jezus na Stadionie) event, which took place on July 1, 2017, at the National Stadium in Warsaw, and in which I served as a choir member. This event was held under the motto "Praising Jesus." It was then that I learned that when one praises God in the difficulties one experiences, God often resolves these difficulties. I learned this especially through the testimony of Sister Tomasza, whom I particularly thank.

We invite everyone to pray the Triple Prayer.
